Superhumans

Science television has to explain hard things fast. For this series we developed a graphic-novel animation style — inked outlines, bold colour, comic-panel transitions — that can jump from a teenager's bedroom to the inside of a neuron in a single cut.

Across the series we animated sequences on the brain, hormonal storms, how pain travels to the brain, and the limits of human performance. The style gives each episode a recognisable identity while staying flexible enough for very different subjects.
